Arctic Blast Kicks Off a Great Month at Mille Lacs

If winter is your thing and you like Lake Mille Lacs, it is your month! Starting Thursday, February 5th, Arctic Blast XIV kicks off as current and former Viking players, coaches and cheerleaders converge upon the Big Pond to sign autographs, schmooze with fans and snowmobile to the five various Blast Points around the lake.

The points are: Blue Goose in Garrison; Castaways in Malmo; Hunter's Point in Isle; Bayview in South Harbor on Cove Bay and Eddy's in Vineland. The snowmobile rally is Saturday as sledders try to get their ticket punched at each of the various establishments to become eligible for prize drawings and a Grand Prize drawing on Sunday at Grand Casino of a snowmobile.

Also in February on Mille Lacs, Garrison will be hosting a poker run on Saturday, February 14th. A pair of regional powerhouse fishing tournaments take place Saturday, February 21st with the Perch Extravaganza at Hunter's Point on the east shore and the Duck's Unlimited fishing tourney in Garrison Bay. Those events forecast nearly 5,000 anglers on the lake.

To end February with a bang, Garrison Days hits the ice with a bevy of great events, including WSA Pro Ice Racing/Snowmobile; Kids 120 Snow Cross; Stud Club Motorcycle/ATV Ice Racing; Vintage Snowmobile Racing; Vintage Snowmobile Show; Hardwater Ice Racing.
